This short film is about two elderly people who only equal each other in how rude and outspoken they are. The pacing of this short film is slow, the actual shot duration is mostly very short mixed with some longer shots but the scene duration and character actions are long and drawn-out. This is a reflection of the main characters (The senior citizen) life style and how he has become old ,infirm and decrepit. The editing within this sequence is also very smooth, no jump cuts or breaks in action and it seems like the entire short film was shot in one take, this makes the short film much more realistic and down to earth as it makes the viewer feel like they are actually watching this sequence take place.


Although this short film doesn't focus on the life of these elderly people it does give us some insight into how the elderly live.
The world curmudgeons means 'A bad tempered person', this is referring too the personalities of the two main characters within the sequence.
This short film is directed and stars Danny DeVito, an established actor, producer and director.
